Part of the MCT Brattberg cable and pipe transit system, each evenly packed row of blocks in the transit system is held by a stayplate. This ensures that the blocks are held in position during assembly and will not be dislodged by the weight of the cable.

Stayplates are used above each completely packed row of blocks, and once the frame has been compressed will hold the blocks in place when faced with water or blast pressure.
